About Us

Mr Guri Sandhu FRCS (ORL-HNS)

is the lead for the unit. He is an ENT surgeon, based at Charing Cross Hospital (Imperial NHS Trust), but also working at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital. Mr Sandhu has extensively researched the causes and treatment of adult laryngotracheal stenosis and has the largest experience of this condition in the United Kingdom.

MR Khalid Ghufoor BSc, FRCS(ORL-HNS)

Consultant ENT, Head and at Neck Surgeon with a special interest in the management of Laryngotracheal stenosis at   St Bartholomew's (Barts) Hospital and The Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital. For more details

Dr Jeremy George MA, Msc, MD, FRCP

Consultant Respiratory Physician at UCL hospital. His main interests are interventional bronchoscopy and management of benign and malignant airway stenosis. For more details

Dr Anil Patel MBBS,  FRCA

Consultant Anaesthetist at Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital interested in Anaesthesia for the difficult airway and laryngotracheal surgery

Dr Fiona Porter FRCA

Consultant Anaesthetist at Charing Cross Hospital with an interest in Anaesthesia for laryngeal and bronchial surgery and developed the use of High Frequency Jet Ventilation techniques at Charing Cross Hospital

Reza is a specialist registrar in academic otolaryngology in the North Thames training region.  He has helped with the design and publishing of the majority of the research papers produced by The Airway reconstruction Unit and has a particular interest in developing new surgical procedures .
